Magnesium is genuinely useful for sleep and anxiety, and your breakdown of the different forms is helpful. One thing worth adding: the physical tension that makes it hard to wind down at night - tight shoulders, a clenched jaw, shallow breathing - often responds to more than just supplementation. Pairing magnesium with some slow, deliberate body movement before bed (not exercise, but something more exploratory) can help the nervous system shift out of the vigilance state that keeps people awake. The two approaches work well together.

Excellent information, some years ago after a Panorama program with Prof. Tim Spector and Chris van Tulleken I became really focused on reading the food labels. I use Yuka or Open Food Facts and if necessary read the labels. Instead of tins with legumes I prefer to buy the packets of beans as they contain no additives.
It's a great pity that quark is not very popular in the UK. With Skyr it contains the highest levels of protein. It's widely available on the continent in different fat levels in 500 or 1 kg. I definitely prefer it to the Greek style jochurt.

Great breakdown of a food so many of us rely on for convenience! I always assumed all frozen pizzas were unhealthy, but it’s good to know there are better options if you pay attention to ingredients and portion sizes. I’m curious — do you have any favorite brands or tips for making a store-bought pizza a little healthier at home?

My son and I prefer herbs over medicine.
I have epilepsy and the medication I took during my pregnancy has caused my son a medical condition… I am a published author and advocate for epilepsy!

Very eye-opening to see frozen pizzas can actually be lower in salt, saturated fat, and calories than many takeaway options when chosen wisely—I always thought they were the less healthy choice. The suggestions on lighter, veggie-based varieties and mindful portion control really make a difference: https://www.behealthynow.co.uk/nutrition/frozen-pizza-how-bad-is-it/

you've missed the point about Nature Valley bars - they use oats heavily sprayed with glyphosate, probably during both the growing and drying processes. I've stopped eating them, and kids probably should not eat them. Same with Quaker Oats, sorry to say

Loved how this article broke down the nutritional differences between sour cream and mayo! It’s surprising how sour cream is often the lighter option, depending on the context. This definitely helps make smarter choices when cooking or meal planning. Great read for anyone trying to eat healthier without sacrificing flavor!”

I can't find any myprotein whey or casein products that don't contain sucralose, in fact their highest rated review on their site and app makes exactly this point.
Bulk protein however does a natural range that uses Stevia.

Thank you for this detailed article on ashwagandha and its potential effects on asthma! It’s fascinating to see how this adaptogenic herb might help reduce inflammation and support respiratory health. I appreciate the balanced approach you’ve taken by discussing both the benefits and possible side effects. For someone with asthma considering ashwagandha, do you recommend starting with a specific dosage or consulting a healthcare provider first? It would also be interesting to know if there are particular forms of ashwagandha (like capsules or powders) that are more effective for respiratory issues. Thanks again for shedding light on this topic!
