This health benefit is amazing. Grape skins, especially the red ones, contain polyphenols, which are essentially organically made micronutrients.
A study on the NCBI has found that these polyphenols that are present in grapes used for making wine are associated with lower heart disease. Consuming a moderate amount of wine each day decreased the chances of suffering a cardiovascular event.
This, of course, is a great news for us all. If you want to lower the chances of getting heart disease, have a glass of red wine!

Specifically type 2 diabetes. Diabetes is caused because your body becomes resistant to insulin and therefore cannot regulate the level of glucose in the blood stream and gets too high.
However, the resveratrol in wine that we saw earlier helping with cancer is responsible for improving the body’s ability to tolerate and use insulin.
According to the American Diabetes Association, drinking wine can help with lowering blood sugar for up to a day.
Again, you should drink in moderation as excessive consumption can do more harm than good so be wary. A couple of glasses a week can be beneficial.
So as you can see, there really are many health benefits for drinking wine, but only when consumed in moderation.
Drinking too much can reverse these effects and end up being not so good for you but maintaining a balanced level can do you well.
