Green People: Hydrating After Sun (Soothing Moisturiser) Review

If you are looking for a natural after-sun lotion, Green People Hydrating After Sun is definitely worth considering. It has won the Green Parent Gold Award in 2016 and another award from the Beauty Bible.

I love it because it’s so light and smells really refreshing. It gently hydrates the skin while soothing it at the same time. It’s perfect for summer when it’s hot and you don’t want to apply heavy moisturisers onto your skin.

I was using Green People After Sun quite often in summer, not only to calm the skin down and moisturise after a long day in the sun but it also came handy after shaving as it’s great for soothing the skin.

This soothing body moisturiser is totally non-greasy and quick to absorb. The main active ingredients in it are aloe vera, calendula and mint.

Aloe vera is moisturising and soothing and calendula is also soothing but at the same time, it helps skin to heal because of its anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula is perfect for mild skin irritations. Mint, on the other side, has a cooling effect and it’s great on hot skin which has been over-exposed to the sun. What’s more, mint is anti-bacterial and is beneficial in addressing pain (good for sore muscles or when sunburned).

Hydrating After Sun from Green People is made with 94.5% certified organically grown ingredients and contains no potentially harmful ingredients such as parabens, propylene glycol, synthetic fragrances and petrochemicals.

The product is certified vegan and cruelty-free as well. It’s suitable for sensitive skin and skin prone to eczema and psoriasis. It can even be used on the face.

Green People After Sun has been specifically designed for sun-heated skin but it can be used all year round, not only in summer. Now that the summer is pretty much over I am using it when my skin needs some hydration after the shower. It’s great after shaving as well.

All in all, this is a great natural product, essential to have in summer. I would just say that if your skin is extra dry, this may not be enough on its own – you may have to add some nourishing oil to it or mix it with shea butter (just some ideas).

You can buy Green People Hydrating After Sun directly on the Green People website (200ml). There is also a travel size version available for £11 (100ml). Use a code HEALTHY15 to get 15% discount. UK delivery is free.

If you are also planning to buy Green People sunscreens it’s worth considering Holiday Sun Starter pack which contains two travel size sunscreens (SPF15 and SPF30) and the After Sun (each 30ml).

    1. Green People have lots of great products, well worth keeping their after sun in mind for the future. I also use their sunscreens.
