This month’s LoveLula Beauty Box is worth £58 and contains three full-size products, out of which Madara SOS Hydra Mask is my favourite.
If you haven’t heard of LoveLula Beauty Box before, the box is great for green beauty fans and those starting to use natural beauty products. It’s a great way of testing new products and discovering new natural beauty brands. The box is normally worth between £50 and £60 which makes it a great value for money as you only pay £13.95 for it (monthly subscription). In the box you will also find a discount code to give you 20% off on all brands featured in the box. You can subscribe here (there is a free delivery and you can cancel anytime).
Disclaimer: I receive LoveLula Beauty Box every month as part of LoveLula Accredited Blogger Programme. Expect only honest and unbiased reviews of the products I receive. Here is what I thought of this month’s products:
Madara SOS Moisture & Radiance Hydra Mask is worth £35 alone so also if you don’t like any other products from the box, this mask makes it worthwhile. It’s perfect for winter when your skin needs a little bit more care.
The mask is suitable for all skin types and carries EcoCert certification. It’s also suitable for vegans.
After use the skin feels hydrated, pampered and really soft.
I’ve only tried this hydrating mask once so far but I love the effect. My skin feels so lovely afterwards, soft, smooth and there is no tightness at all.
If you don’t want to buy a full-size product, there is also a travel size available here.
PHB Ethical Beauty have an extensive range of vegan makeup and in their collection you will also find black Liquid Eyeliner which is gentle on the skin and suitable for very sensitive eyes. The eyeliner is Cruelty Free and Halal Certified and free from nano particles, parabens, bismuth oxychloride, talc, formaldehyde, mineral oils, fillers, gluten, fragrance, preservatives & GM ingredients.
It sounds like a great natural product but some bloggers say that it takes a little bit of time to dry.
An eyeliner is not something that I use so unfortunately this is a product I will be giving away. You can get it on LoveLula here.
Another makeup product, PHB Peach Crayon, is also something that I am not going to use. The colour is quite light and not for me but it may go well with certain skin tones. This lip crayon can be used as an all-over lip colour or as a lip liner. It’s richly pigmented and suitable for sensitive skin. To see a closeup of the colour go to this page.
There were quite a lot of samples in this month’s LoveLula Beauty Box and I didn’t mind testing them out as they were all products which I haven’t tried before. But I wasn’t a fan of a facial oil in a sachet as it can get really messy when you are trying to take it out. However, I quite liked UrbanVeda Radiance Facial Oil as it made my skin feeling really lovely. When I used it in conjunction with UrbanVeda’s Reviving Renewal Night Cream I was really pleased with how well it worked for my combination skin. My skin felt nice and nourished but without feeling greasy from the face cream or oil. The facial oil was quick to absorb.
The Renewal Night Cream is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids and works on fines lines, helping to restore suppleness and elasticity. Unfortunately, it contains some ingredients which I normally avoid – PEG and Phenoxyethanol. It’s a shame as otherwise it’s a great cream but hopefully, in the future, they change the formulation.
UrbanVeda Radiance Facial Oil, on the other hand, has some lovely ingredients and it’s 100% natural. It’s suitable for dehydrated & dull skin but I found it great on my combination skin which needs more hydration in winter. This facial oil contains anti-inflammatory organic turmeric and antioxidant-rich papaya to heal blemishes so it’s great for breakout-prone skin. The sample size was big enough to last me for almost a week as you don’t need to apply much for every application (I used it only in the evening though). Overall, a lovely facial oil which I am happy to recommend.
A product from UrbanVeda which I didn’t like too much was their Radiance Day Cream. The scent of this cream is just overpowering and it lingers on the skin for many hours, I just don’t like it. On top of that, the cream contains Phenoxyethanol and PEG.
There were two samples in the box which I haven’t tried yet – the two face masks, one from Mossa (Age Excellence Miracle Peel) and one from Dr. Hauschka (Hydrating Cream Mask). I would prefer it if there was fewer face masks in this beauty box but I am still looking forward to testing them all out.
