This month’s LoveLula Beauty Box is worth £43 and contains some wonderful products. I was so happy to see a bar of soap from John Masters Organics. If you’ve been following me for a while you know that I prefer soap bars from body washes. I didn’t even know John Masters Organics sell soaps, I always thought of them as a haircare brand.
In case you didn’t know, I get LoveLula Beauty Box every month as part of LoveLula accredited blogger programme. This beauty box is perfect for those who are starting to get into a natural beauty and for those who love to discover new natural beauty brands.

Here is what I thought of the products in June’s beauty box:
This ultra-rich balm from Madara must be my favourite product from the box. It’s a great balm suitable for face, hands and body which helps to soothe and hydrate dry and rough skin. It’s not greasy and it absorbs really quickly. I see it as a lighter version of Weleda Skin Food which makes it great for summer.
I tried Madara Daily Defence balm on my hands and feet so far and I really like it. It’s hydrating and soothing to the skin and it leaves the skin feeling nice and soft after use. This multipurpose product is great to take with you on holiday (60ml tub is perfect for travelling).
20% of total ingredients are from organic farming and all the ingredients are of natural origin. The product is certified by ECOCERT.
Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme
I was really pleased to see Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme in the box. Bellapierre is a highly regarded brand and my cousin praised it for its high-quality natural mineral make-up. I actually managed to test their natural mineral foundation quite a few years back in a shopping centre – one of the sales girls put it on my face and I remember that I was quite impressed with the way my skin looked afterwards. So I had high hopes for Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme as soon as I saw it.
Bellapierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme is a liquid lipstick and at the moment it comes in three shades: Antique Pink, Hibiscus and Coral Stone. Mavs from Naturally Diddy did an amazing job by displaying all these shades on her lips. Check out her post and swatches here.
I am not totally sure that Antique Pink works for me. When I apply it, it looks quite dark at first, much darker than it looks on the packaging. So I thought that for this reason, it would be better to use this liquid lipstick in the evening. But then, I figured it out.
If you want a toned-down look, you just apply the lipstick with a brush. You can always build it up if you think the colour doesn’t stand out enough. Just be aware that this lipstick dries very quickly and you have to be precise, try not to stain your skin near the lips as it won’t be easy to remove.
This lipstick leaves your lips matte and it’s not moisturising so I always like to put some lip balm on top.
Balm Balm Hibiscus Face Mask with muslin cloth
I haven’t tried anything from Balm Balm before so I am quite interested to see how I get on with their face mask. The small sample contains powder made with rice powder, hibiscus and pelargonium powder which you then mix together with water to create a paste. You then apply it onto your face. Balm Balm muslin cloth can be used to remove the mask.
I’ve used this soap only once so far. It foams really well and the skin doesn’t feel dry afterwards. It’s a really solid soap as opposed to some natural soaps which feel slightly soft on touch (once you press them with your finger). You don’t need much for one use so I can imagine this soap will last a long time.
The scent is quite powerful with a strong note of ylang-ylang but it’s not as powerful as if you are smelling ylang-ylang on its own – lavender and rose geranium essential oils definitely tone it down creating rich but pleasant scent (in my opinion).
This John Masters Organics soap is made with organic palm and coconut oils and certified organic by Oregon Tilth which is a USA based certifier. The soap is infused with vegetable glycerin which moisturises and protects, leaving your skin nice and soft. You can use this soap on your body and face. It’s suitable for all skin types especially the oily one as lavender is great anti-inflammatory while ylang-ylang assists in controlling and reducing oiliness.
