I was away on holiday this month so I got my hands on the latest LoveLula beauty box a little bit late which means I am also a little bit late writing this review!
In summary, LoveLula Beauty Box is great for those who love natural beauty products and for those new to green beauty. It’s a great way of testing new products and discovering new natural beauty brands. It’s a really good value for money as you get over £40 worth of products but you pay less than £15 for them. In the box you also get a discount code for 20% off on all the brands from the box.
Disclaimer: I receive LoveLula Beauty Box as a part of LoveLula Accredited Blogger Program and in this post you will find some affiliate links – if you click on them and purchase a product I get a small commission which helps me maintain this website. May’s LoveLula beauty box is worth £45 and contains three full-size products and two travel sizes. Here is what you will find in it and my thoughts:
Ogario London Styling Mist 60ml (full size)
I haven’t tried anything from Ogario London yet but I love the sound of this mist. Basically it’s just something to put on your damaged hair and split ends to condition them and protect them when styling. I always like to put something on my ends before drying my hair so I think this will be perfect for that. The Ogario London Styling Mist is suitable for all hair types.
PHB Gentle Moisturiser 50ml (full size)
I am really starting to like PHB as a brand. In March I tried their first product and that was their Brightening Hand Cream which came in LoveLula beauty box that month. The hand cream was lovely to use although not as quick to absorb as some other natural hand creams that I’ve tried before.
This month I am really impressed with PHB’s Gentle Moisturiser. It’s intended for people with sensitive skin and those prone to eczema and rosacea. The hypoallergic formula will relieve redness and irritation, leaving skin silky smooth and nourished.
I started using PHB Gentle Moisturiser on my combination skin and my skin is not complaining. The moisturiser is really quick to absorb and you only need a little bit for the whole face. I think one jar will last me ages. It’s pretty light and nourishing, but not greasy. It makes a great summer moisturiser which seems to be great for breakout-prone skin.
The moisturiser is rich in antioxidants and fatty acids which protect and replenish skin and prevent signs of aging. Other skin types will love it too. Also to mention, the product is cruelty free, vegan and halal certified.
John Masters Lavender & Rosemary Shampoo (travel size)
I love John Masters haircare products, I bought a few of them in TK Maxx at a reduced price and they were really good quality products. I haven’t started using their Lavender & Rosemary Shampoo yet but I am really looking forward to it. The shampoo is good for all hair types and safe for color-treated hair.
John Masters Citrus & Neroli Detangler (travel size)
I’ve used this product once and I can confirm it’s a great hair conditioner which detangles hair very well. It makes it leaving nice and soft as well. Also, if I didn’t imagine, my hair looked blonder after using this product. I’ve used it like I use a normal conditioner but it can be used as a leave-in conditioner as well. It’s suitable for all hair types.
Laidbare DIY! Two in One Cleanser & Toner 125ml (full size)
This is my least favourite product from May’s LoveLula box and that’s just because it sounds strange. Cleanser AND toner? How can that be?
This cleanser is suitable for skin types and to use it you just apply it with warm water. It is even supposed to remove eye make up (haven’t tried it though so I cannot confirm these claims).
Laidbare Cleanser & Toner contains liquorice and aloe vera which both help to reduce inflammation and tone and strengthen the skin. Brazil Nut Extract works to condition, nourish and repair the skin. It does contain alcohol unfortunately so if you are trying to avoid it, then this product is not for you.
