In the spotlight: Roze Mountain Natural Beauty Products & Herbal Remedies

roze mountain natural skincare products

I have the pleasure of introducing you to a new green beauty brand called Roze Mountain. The brand is focused on natural, cruelty-free products which use only recycled packaging and is run by Morgane Rozenberg who started making skincare products and herbal remedies about two years ago.

Apart from natural skincare products, Roze Mountain also offers gift boxes, soy scented candles, herbal salves and other natural remedies.

It’s really refreshing to come across a small and passionate brand like Roze Mountain – all the products are carefully created and made with love in small batches. Morgane’s passion and commitment to create great products shines through on her social media and her website.

Her products contain some amazing ingredients that can work wonders on your skin and I’ve had a pleasure of testing some of these products out. Here is what I managed to test so far and my quick reviews:

Soothing Oil for Combo Skin

I’ve been using this soothing facial oil for weeks now and my combination skin definitely loves it. This oil is non-greasy and really quick to absorb. After you’ve applied it, it doesn’t feel like you’ve just put some oil on your skin, not at all. It feels very light on the skin and you can easily apply makeup on top if you want.

This facial oil is a blend of some wonderful ingredients such as passion fruit oil, papaya oil, inca inchi and hazelnut oil. In addition to all these oils, it also contains vitamin E and essential oils of bergamot, cypress and patchouli. The scent is surprisingly very subtle, I can just smell some of the essential oils. And just look at that colour of the oil, a sign of some amazing antioxidants!

What I really love about this oil is that it doesn’t contain ordinary ingredients you find in lots of facial oils online, you know oils like sunflower and almond. Instead, passion fruit oil is used as the main oil and I am glad it is.

Passion fruit oil is high in vitamin C, antioxidants and minerals. It also has a high content of essential fatty acids and on its own is particularly suitable for oily and mature skin. It’s a great anti-ageing oil and helps to keep skin looking firm and youthful. Carotenoids which are also found in this oil help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Papaya oil is the second oil in the ingredients’ list and contains remarkable amounts of vitamins A, B, C and even E. Papaya oil is known to reduce hyperpigmentation and acts as a skin brightener. It also has anti-inflammatory properties so it’s great for fighting acne.

Inca Inchi oil, also found in the blend, is rich in omega 3, 6 and 9 and it protects, stretches, restructures the skin with no greasy feeling.

Overall, I found this facial oil from Roze Mountain great and have no complaints whatsoever. It didn’t give me any breakouts and this oil is just lovely if you want something non-greasy for your oily or combination skin. It’s perfect for summer so I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, you cannot currently find this facial oil on Roze Mountain website as new labels are getting sorted for this product but never mind, you can still check other facial oils they currently have available. And if you really like the sound of this one, do check the website out soon again.

Anti Dark Circles Roll-On (Eye Oil)

roze mountain eye oil roll-on

Recently I’ve been using more of eye creams than eye oils but I was really interested to try eye oil from Roze Mountain to see how it compares to some others that I’ve tried in the past.

The oil comes in a little, roll-on glass bottle and it costs £8.50 for 10ml which is a reasonable price.

I’ve been using this eye oil for weeks and I have plenty left, barely see any difference (still looks quite full!). I only use it at night time though, to allow my skin to absorb all the goodness and regenerate overnight.

I love the roll-on functionality, just makes it easier to apply without any mess and you cannot really apply too much like that.

When rolling, you only get a little bit of the product come out but this is perfect as you really don’t need to apply too much.

The oil is not too heavy and it’s great for hydrating the skin around the eye area without any harmful chemicals.

Here is a full list of ingredients: Acai oil (Euterpe oleracea), Maracuja oil (Passiflora incarnata), Tamanu oil (Calophyllum inophyllum), Rosehip seed oil (Rosa rubiginosa), Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

I was worried that this oil would give me milia but so far I haven’t had any issues with it.

I’ve been using this oil in conjunction with Roze Mountain eye cream to try and tackle some fine lines underneath my eyes and I am not sure whether I am getting any results just yet. Rosehip seed oil is known to reduce wrinkles and fine lines but it’s not first oil in the ingredient’s list. However, acai oil (first on the list) is also great for tackling fine lines as it’s full of antioxidants and can effectively restores the skin’s elasticity levels.  Maybe I just have to use it for a little bit longer to get some proper results.

Eye Cream with African Oils

The cream from Roze Mountain is really rich and has been made to tackle puffy eyes (something I’ve been having an issue with more lately!) and to improve the look of the eye area when you wake up in the morning.

The best is to store it in the fridge and then use it in the morning as needed.

This is not a light eye cream but it’s not difficult to apply. Just dot it along the eye area and then pat it into the skin. It absorbs well and doesn’t sit on top of the skin.

In its ingredients’ list you will find a preservative Leucidal+ which is derived from bacteria called “lactobacillus ferment”. This preservative is one of the most natural preservatives which is also very safe to use on children. Another preservative in this eye cream is Cosgard which is a synthetic preservative accepted by ECOCERT, however the brand is looking to replace this preservative with another one, more natural one.

The eye cream also contains caffeine which is known to provide antioxidant protection from free radicals and also tends to reduce puffiness.

I think the cream is definitely worth trying and then you can see whether it makes any difference to your eye area. Since I’ve been using both the eye cream and eye oil from Roze Mountain I’ve noticed less darkness under my eye area but in terms of fine lines, there are still there, I don’t think there’s been much difference although I know it’s to do with other factors as well such as getting enough sleep and water and eating well. I will continue using these products to see whether the long-term use will make more of a difference.

Unfortunately, this eye cream is currently out of stock but it will be back very soon!

Delicate Rose Hand & Body Butter

This Hand & Body Butter has a gorgeous rose scent and anybody with a love for roses will love it.

The ingredients are very simple with shea butter first on the list, followed by Cupuacu butter and perilla oil. The product also contains sesame oil, rosewax and vitamin E. No water so no harmful preservatives needed!

The butter is quite light and melts into the skin easily but it’s a bit oily though. I think it would nourish any dry skin quite nicely. I haven’t used it that much to be honest but as it spreads easily this is a great moisturiser for the whole body.

Soy Scented Candles

In addition to the above products, I was also sent some of the wonderfully scented candles. Jasmine, White Musk & Lotus Blossom, doesn’t that sound amazing? The scent is lovely, not overpowering and really nice. On the other hand, Pomegranate Noir & Mediterranean Fig soy scented candle has a stronger scent, maybe not exactly what I would buy myself if I smelled it in the shop, but nevertheless, it’s still pleasant.

Final verdict

All in all, Roze Mountain is a green beauty brand well worth checking out. Their products are really affordable and contain some wonderful ingredients. Take a look at their website and see whether you can find any products that you would like to try.
